May name is Katrina Cook and I am a casting director and owner of Katz Casting and I am here on behalf of Expert Village.com to let you know what you need to do to prepare for your next audition. Once you get booked for an audition, you are going to receive something called sides. Sides are basically a printout of the script where your character is in couple of scenes. The first thing you need to do is print these out because you never know what is going to happen to your computer between now and your audition time. Want you to review them two times and need to figure out who is your character in these sides. What is your relationship with the other character and what is your history, your background and your past. You need to read the script if at all possible. Most agents do get copies of the script so ask them for it, review it. Go through and figure out who is your character and where are you going with the script and that right there will help you to understand who you are and help you to be the character who are in these sides who you are going to audition for. It is very important that if you have these sides more than two days you need to memorize them. You can take them with you to refer back to but think about it, how bad you really want the role.
